Description
NOTE: The 'Avanti Savoia Units' pack was originally pre-order bonus content for Isonzo, but now it’s back - with upgrades! Early adopters of the game Isonzo that got the Avanti Savoia Units Pack DLC at release will get the extra items automatically for free. Read on to see what you’ll find inside!
The ‘Avanti Savoia Units’ pack introduces twelve iconic uniforms to Isonzo, from high ranking staff officers to heavily equipped assault troops and engineers dressed for tunneling. The headgear in this pack highlights rare and intriguing items like painted camouflage helmets and helmet armor. There are also impressive mustaches, facial hair and a face for each faction.
The ‘Avanti Savoia Units’ pack contains 50+ items:
- 6 Italian Uniforms
- 13 Italian Headgear Items
- 6 Austro-Hungarian Uniforms
- 13 Austro-Hungarian Headgear Items
- 2 Faces
- 7 Facial Items
- 4 Facial Hair options
More details about the 'Avanti Savoia Units' pack:
Austro-Hungarian uniforms include an assault troop laden with grenades, well-equipped loadouts and a seldom seen way of wearing the KuK's iconic greatcoat. The rifleman loadout showcases a large greatcoat with heavy equipment and some rare camouflage patterns seen on Austrian helmets. The engineer sports a sapper look, with satchels of TNT and just a shirt and waistcoat for the warm mines. The Generalmajor staff officer uniform is re-released with two headgear variations influenced by the Austrian commander Hotzendorf.
Italian troops also see plenty of equipment items and interesting quirks. The rifleman has the gorget collar tab of the ‘77th’ Toscana brigade, issued with Adrian helmets originally meant for the Russian army. The assault class showcases an unusual sweater with an Arditi skull decal plus the rare but iconic Dunand and Lippman helmet protection pieces. The Bersaglieri dons a 1909 variant of the tunic, a cape and an iconic red fez. Officers enjoy the Maggiore General staff officer uniform and can be seen with a rare staff officers version of the Adrain helmet.
In the later years of WW1, more unusual items were starting to appear on the field. Prototype helmet armor and camouflage paint were starting to appear across all fronts. While uncommon, pieces like these offer an important historical contribution to WW1 and wars since.
There are several facial hair styles including Burnside’s impressive sideburns, the wide beard of Emerich Freiherr von Kaiffel, the Rennenkampf (voted ‘most epic’ by the community) and the Adolphe Max. Facial customization items range from the extravagant gourd style of pipe and pince-nez glasses as worn by writer Anton Chekov, all the way to monocles for the distinguished gentlemen in the field.
NOTE: THIS DLC CONTAINS COSMETIC CONTENT ONLY.
